Nigeria international Anthony Ujah is confident he can replicate his goal scoring form in pre-season for Werder Bremen when the German topflight season kicks off next weekend against Schalke 04.
Ujah continued with his impressive goal scoring feat when he helped Viktor Skripnik’s side beat third division side Wuerzburger Kickers 2-0 to advance to the next round of the German DFB Pokal Cup on Saturday.
The 25-year-old beat his marker on the edge of the box before firing home a powerful right-footed strike through the legs of goalkeeper Brunnhübner for his side’s opener in the 102nd minute.
“Great start to the season and first official goal for Werder Bremen. Thanks good God. Bundesliga can start,” Ujah posted on his Twitter handle.
