Real Madrid are ready to play the waiting game until next summer with Manchester United for David de Gea. The 24-year-old goalkeeper has been in the sights of Real Madrid for several months and with his contract winding down, the club were hoping that Manchester United would be forced to sell him this summer.
However, Manchester United remained steadfast on their demands and want around €40m from Real Madrid to sanction De Gea’s sale. But the Spanish giants are in no mood to fork out such a sum for a player who would be available on a free transfer next summer and according to Marca, they are ready to wait for one more season.
Real Madrid are aware that De Gea wants to leave and have reportedly agreed terms with the player, therefore, they feel a move for the Spaniard makes more sense next summer.
