Rapheal Wedhangnon, Area Controller, Custom Rep. Benin, disclosed in his goodwill message during the pageant that peace is not a word, it is an action that must be worked out. He however urged that the Custom in Benin are willing to assist any Nigeria who may be having issue with the officials in the borders.
According to him, the borderline crisis was one of the problem created by the colonial masters to divide two brothers.
Also Dep Comptroller, Immigration, DCI Manbut, urged the participants present to encourage integration amongst all Africa countries. According to him issues raised during the integration festivals was paramount to collective growth of the Africa continent. Therefore we all must work in tandem to develop our cultures to strengthen integration among brothers and sisters in other countries.
He however urged tourists and participants at the event to understand what the law states about movement of people to and fro the border. He advocates, Africans should be given the right to cross bother without much hassles.
The event which featured performances from music stars including Nila Jogbe(Rep. Benin), Tunde Joseph(Nigeria), Cotonou Cultural Troupe, Koudiwath Fagbemi(Rep. Benin), Kola Bata(Nigeria), Ope Bright (Nigeria) while notable personalities present included Alhaja Moroufatou Falola, Queen Mother, Mr. Segun Adeyemo, Publisher IWA Magazine among other notable dignitaries.
