Super Eagles striker Ahmed Musa has said that he chose to remain with Russian club CSKA Moscow despite interests from top clubs in Europe particularly in the English Premier League.
The Jos-born star said he decided to pen a new deal with the team because they are one of the best in Europe, he is used to the league now and above all he has been accepted in Russia. “I am happy and excited to sign a new deal with my club, CSKA Moscow. It was true there were interests from elsewhere but I chose to remain here because they are a top team,” he said.
“I have adapted well to the league and I have improved with every season. I have good atmosphere here to play under because my teammates, fans, officials and everybody love me dearly at CSKA Moscow, all these were what I considered before I signed the deal.” “I have recorded success in domestic competitions, I hope to taste it in Europe too with CSKA.”
