As he gets set to depart FC Cologne for Werder Bremen come next season in the German Bundesliga, Super Eagles striker, Anthony Ujah, has revealed that he believes it was the right time to move on after spending three years at the club.
Ujah also stated that it was time he faced a new challenge, and as such, decided to join Bremen.
“After 3 successful seasons in Cologne I wanted a new challenge and environment,” he said.
“It was time for me to move on.
I spent two years with the club in the second division and both were successful seasons and we were promoted.
“I’ve had a good season so far but it was just the right time to move on, I felt like I had given the club everything and needed a new lease to keep me on my feet.”
