Heavyweight contender, Tyson Fury (24- 0, 18KOs), is not opposed to facing WBO/IBO/IBF/WBA champion Wladimir Klitschko in Russia. Fury is the WBO’s mandatory challenger to Klitschko and their fight is expected to happen in either September or October. A purse bid has been scheduled for Monday by the WBA – where Fury is also rated as the mandatory challenger.
Fury’s comment regarding the fight taking place in Russia could be a hint that Russian promoter Andrie Ryabinsky is going to make his presence felt at the purse bid. “There will be a lot of fun going in the ring against Klitschko in Russia. Party on the Red Square in Moscow, after the fight,” Fury stated.
