Nigeria’s representatives in this year’s CAF Confederation Cup competition, Warri Wolves, have accused the center referee of aiding the victory of AC Leopards in the first leg of their group phase playoff match in Dolise, Congo. Mahamane Cisse, Carof Bakoua and Hermann Lakolo were on target as the 2012 CAF Confederation Cup winners spanked Warri Wolves 3-0 on Sunday.
But Wolves’ midfielder Ichull Lordson has said the referee was wrong to cancel a “good goal” they scored during the game. The former ABS FC player said the goal scored by the Nigeria Under-23 star, Etebor Oghenekaro, ought to have stood, but the referee ruled otherwise.
“They took their chances early for the two goals, but the referee helped them too, he was not fair in the way he handled the game,” Lordson maintained.
