Manchester United are on the verge of announcing Angel di Maria’s replacement at Old Trafford. The Argentine is likely to be succeeded by compatriot Nicolas Gaitan at the 20-times champions of England.
Reports in Portugal emerged this morning, which said United had agreed a £21m fee for the 27-yearold winger with Benfica.
And now, Italian journalist Tancredi Palmer – who tweeted that United and Benfica were in advanced talks days ago – says while Gaitan’s transfer is not complete, it is very close.
He was asked: “Is Gaitan to #mufc a done deal?” He said: “Very close.
Di Maria to PSG? They are working intensively on it.”
