Nigeria junior international prefers the quality of football the Gunners play to other suitors
2015 FIFA Under 17 World Cup most valuable player Kelechi Nwakali is ready to snub a host of Premier League giants to complete a dream switch to Arsenal.
The Nigerian youngster impressed Premier League scouts at the recent Under-17 World Cup.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal were all linked with swoops for the player, and he could now be on the way to English football.
“I would love to play for Arsenal”, Nwakali, whose elder brother, Chidiebere was signed by Man City and loaned to Malaga said .
“They are their Premier League club I will like to play for them because they play the best football in the world.” Kelechi’s decision to push for an Arsenal move is supported by his brother.
“It is a personal decision and so he will be the one to take it as this could well define his career,”
Chidiebere said. Chidiebere Nwakali is currently on a two-and-a-half year loan deal at Spanish club Malaga, and will return to Manchester in June 2017.
