Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba insists that reaching the Champions League final with Juventus proves that it was the right decision to quit Old Trafford. The France international left United for nothing at the end of the 2012 season in acrimonious circumstances following a contract dispute during which Pogba felt he was not being suitably rewarded for his progress.
Since his move to Juventus the 22-year-old has developed into one of the most admired young players in the world and is being chased by a host of Europe’s top clubs. Ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final between Juventus and Barcelona, Pogba says that he has no regrets about walking out on Ferguson and United three summer’s ago. ‘Yes, for sure, I am happy with how my time has gone in Turin,’ Pogba is quoted as saying by The Telegraph. ‘I don’t regret it at all. I am very happy here and I enjoy it.
