Moses Set For West Ham Bow

Co-owner expects Nigeria international to make West Ham debut in next Premier League game.

Victor Moses, Michail Antonio and Nikica Jelavic are all set to make their West Ham debuts against Newcastle on Monday week. The Hammers were one of the busiest clubs in the run up to the transfer deadline on Tuesday evening with Moses joining on a season-long loan from Chelsea, a deal to bring in wide man Antonio for £7million from Nottingham Forest, while Croatian hitman Jelavic signed a two-year deal for £3million from Hull City.

And Hammers co-owner David Gold has revealed on Twitter that he expects all three of the new arrivals to be in the plans of boss Slaven Bilic when Steve McClaren’s Newcastle arrive at Upton Park for the return to Premier League action on Monday September 14.

Moses is obviously excited about his season at Upton Park. The 24-year-old attacker took to Twitter last night to send this message to fans: “Looking forward to getting started on the pitch with the boys, thanks for all of your support.” Moses will be likely to play on the wing at the club but will certainly have some competition in the area. But if he can deliver his best football, there is little doubt that he could be a big hit at Upton Park.
