Manchester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, is on a 40- man shortlist revealed by Italian newspaper outfit Tuttosport for the 2015 Golden Boy Award.
The award is handed out to the best footballer under the age of 21, and is voted for by the public.
Players who have won the award previously include Paul Pogba, Mario Gotze, and Isco.
The nominees for the 2015 award are drawn from prominent European leagues like the English Premier League, the Spanish La Liga, the German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A and the French Ligue 1.
Others are the Turkish Super Lig, Dutch Eredivise, Kazakhstan Premier League and the Croatian Prva Liga.
Aside Iheanacho, other nominees from the EPL are, Dele Alli (Tottenham), Héctor Bellerín (Arsenal), Jordon Ibe (Liverpool), Anthony Martial (Manchester United), Luke Shaw (Manchester United) and Adama Traoré (Aston Villa).
