Nigeria international Sylvester Igbonu has said he is delighted to get a goal for FC Ufa in a 2-1 win over Amkar Perm in a Russian league game on Saturday.
Ufa are 13th on the League table with 13 points from 15 games.
The former Midtjylland forward said the game was important to the team to win and happy they triumphed against a team that paraded Nigerian trio of Izunna Uzochukwu, Brian Idowu and Fegor Ogude.
Igbonu netted in the 48th minute to give his team a 1-0 lead and take his goals’ haul to three.
“I feel very good for the goal and the victory because the points are very important to us. It was a good game for the both teams but I thank God who crowned our efforts and made us the winners,” Igbonu said.
