Olympiacos won their ninth straight league game Saturday with Nigeria striker Brown Ideye again on target for the Greek champions.
Olympiakos won 2-0 at Veria and remain top of the league table with a perfect 27 points after nine games.
Ideye, who joined the Greek topflight team this summer from West Brom, opened the scoring in the 55th minute to give his team a 1-0 lead.
The 27-year-old striker has now scored three goals in seven league games for Olympiacos.
He was grateful to God for making him contribute to winning a tough game on the road.
“Thanks to God for another win tonight, really difficult game for us #greatteamwork,” Ideye tweeted.
