Hazard Reveals Ballon d’Or Dream

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard, fresh off the back of his PFA Player of the Year award last season, hopes to add even more accolades to his haul and is targeting FIFA’s Ballon d’Or.

The 24-year-old, who signed for Chelsea in 2012 for £32million, said that it has long been an ambition of his to claim world football’s greatest individual prize, even before he came to Stamford Bridge.

‘This has always been my dream, when I first arrived at the training centre of Lille, I told my coach, Jean-Michel Vandamme, that one day I would become the Ballon d’Or winner,’ he said.

Messi has won FIFA’s Ballon d’Or four times and Hazard has branded him an ‘extraterrestrial’ of football
