The wife of the future king has given her support to one of Andy Murray’s Wimbledon rivals. Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, told Rafael Nadal: “I hope you win.”
Prince Charles’ wife revealed yesterday how she is a big fan of the Spaniard as she was being introduced to the tennis superstar at the All England Club in London.
Scots star Murray could have to overcome Nadal if he wants to secure his second Wimbeldon crown. The Duchess said to the 14-time grand slam champion: “Rafa, how lovely to meet you. Are you playing today?”
After Nadal, 29, confirmed he was playing on Centre Court later, the Duchess said: “I hope you win.” Camilla, wearing a pale pink chiffon Anna Valentine dress, also met former Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych, British women’s number two Johanna Konta and Slovakian player Daniela Hantuchova.
