Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Benjamin Stambouli has called Angel Di Maria “an extraordinary player,” adding that the entire squad are “delighted” the Manchester United forward is joining them. Di Maria, 27, on Thursday completing his €63 million move from Old Trafford to PSG.
The Argentina international passed his medical in Doha, Qatar earlier in the week, paving the way to end his disappointing year in the Premier League which saw him score just four goals in a season plagued by injury and poor form.
Stambouli told RMC he was looking forward to working alongside the former Real Madrid man in the French capital. “He’s going to bring all his qualities and the spectacle that PSG can expect,” he said.
“He’s an extraordinary player, who provides a lot of assists, who makes the difference. “It’s going to help the club continue growing. It’s a very good thing, and all the players are delighted.”
