Confed Cup: Wolves Coach Upbeat Ahead Leopards Visit

Nigeria Premier League side, Warri Wolves, believe that beating fellow Premier League side, Abia Warriors, in a rescheduled match will buoy the team ahead of their must-win CAF Confederation second leg playoff game against Leopards of Congo.

Wolves’ coach, Paul Aigbogun, said the performance of his squad against Warriors has given him the confidence that they can erase the three-goal deficit from the first leg against Leopards.

“I have a complete squad that can make things happen against Leopards of Congo,” he said.

“With what we did against Abia Warriors, I believe only bad luck will deny us qualification, but I’m sure we will overcome.”

With the full compliment of his stars, Aigbogun appreciated the style of play they exhibited and insisted henceforth the goal is to win every game ahead of the return fixture in the Confederation Cup.

A win against the Congolese club means Nigeria will have a representative in a club continental competition this season.

“We want to improve on our performance and win games. Every game is important to us and we want to win all our games. By the grace of God we’ll overturn the result in the second leg against Leopards,” said Aigbogun
