Awoniyi, Ndidi Give Me Confidence –F/Eagles Captain

The prolific form of striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, and defender Wilfred Ndidi gives captain of the Nigeria men’s junior national soccer team that the Flying Eagles can win the 2015 FIFA Under-20 World Cup for the country.

The Flying Eagles would launch their campaign for honours in New Zealand with a top of the drawer encounter against old foes Brazil, but the Flying Eagles captain Musa Mohammed was never going to be intimidated, saying they have what it takes to go all the way. He said: “We have a good chance and our aim in New Zealand is to win the cup and make names for ourselves and the country. “I’m confident because of the type   of players that we have and we are all focussed.

Insha Allah (by the grace of Allah) we are going to win all our matches even against Brazil and others teams at the World Cup. “We play as a team and personally, Wilfred Ndidi and Taiwo Awoniyi gives me so much confidence that we can do it.”

Musa, who was decorated with a national honour Member of the Order of Niger (MON) along with his teammates following their 2013 FIFA Under-17 World Cup triumph, added that, “Coach Manu (Garba) is a great coach and we look up to him like our father because he always advises us on how to be good in all aspect of life”.
