Dream Team VI Chief Coach, Samson Siasia has dismissed recent outburst of the Congelese coach, claude Leroy claiming that he will push Nigeria out of the All Africa Games football event by declaring that he is not in any way entertaining any fear over the possibility of his team not qualifying for the CAF U-23 championship saying he is going to Congo to get the necessary point.
The team had been camping in Port Harcourt since the first leg which ended 2-1 and Siasia said that they are going to get the qualification to appreciate the kind gesture of the governor of Rivers State.
Siasia also vowed to correct the mistakes noticed in the first leg of the qualifiers when they go for second leg in Pointe Noire slated for Sunday. “We are ever grateful to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State for the treatment they gave us. We felt at home and had a wonderful camping in the state.
We will work very hard to get the qualification ticket for the CAF U- 23 Championship to make the Governor, Nigerians and the Nigeria Football Federation very happy”, Siasia said.
One of the five players called by Siasia to beef up the team for the return leg match against Congo Shehu Abdullahi who was reported injured but eventually certified fit by his club doctor would arrive Abuja on time to re-join the U- 23 national team to Polite Noire. Abdullahi is expected to fill the loop hole on the right back that was suspect in the last match in Port Harcourt.
