Chairmanship Aspirant in the forth coming area council elections on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Bala Iyah chairman said he would introduce good governance in the council if elected. The former councillor who represented Garki ward in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), added that if he becomes chairman of the council, he would ensure proper and sustainable management of its finances and take the development to rural communities in the council.

He also said that he would manage the human resource and environment of the council for better result. Iyah who made this known yesterday in Abuja while inaugurating his campaign team, said that he has the desire to continue with the good work already on ground, which has been made possible by the present administration, led by Hon. Micah Jiba.

The chairmanship Aspirant, said he has diligently consulted God and the good people of AMAC, and the response he got from both sides is commendable and encouraging, that he should aim higher, in order to be able to serve his people effectively to the best of his ability and take them to greater height.

“According to him, “I will lead the people of the council with the fear of God and e its my sincere desire to emulate and continue with the good works the past and present leaders of the council have been doing for us. My vision and mission is to empower the people of AMAC Educationally, Economically, Rural Infrastructures and Agriculture.

I want to take development to rural communities and ensure that the poor people are given opportunities to live a better life. “As it is expected, a true leader is meant to serve God and his people, irrespective of their religious or ethnic differences, in order for them to have improved standard of living in all areas of life and benefit fully from the dividends of democracy.

“However, to make a leader successful in his desire to serve his people, he truly needs the immeasurable support and empowerment of some selected people, who have the sincere desire to stand in the gap between the intending leader and the people to be led, and ensure that the leader succeeds in his aspiration,” he said.

He said that by God’s grace and with the prayers of his people, he will not disappoint the people of AMAC, that he will do his best to carry out his responsibilities of his people, when he is elected as chairman of AMAC.

“I am convinced from my heart, that with the calibre of people selected to champion this great course, by the grace of God almighty, the sky will be our stepping stone to greatness.

I promised you that when our desire to lead the council in the next dispensation has been achieved in future, you all will be proud that you were part of this great movement for continuity,” he said.
