PDP, APC Will Work For Better Nigeria –Rep

Iniobong Ekponta, Uyo

Despite the bickering between members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the National Assembly, the House of Representatives member for Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Francis Charles Uduyok, has expressed his belief that the lingering feud would soon give way to full legislative business.

Uduyok, former Chairman of Eastern Obolo Local Government Area, gave this assurance in an interview in his Ikot Akpanabia, Uyo country home, saying it was time to think Nigeria instead of political parties if the country must move forward. “Nigeria is better than any political party”, he stressed, adding that his colleagues have resolved to bury issues arising from the just-concluded polls and work harmoniously to promote socio-economic transformation of the country through quality legislations.

Uduyok, who said his mission to the Green Chamber, was to engender more dividends of democracy to the three Local Government Areas including Ikot Abasi, Eastern Obolo and Mkpat Enin, which he represents, craved for patience and support for sustainable democracy. Unfolding his agenda,Uduyok promised effective representation, saying he would place more priority on security, youths’ empowerment, health, education and community development.

Besides, he said he would work with other members of the National Assembly from Akwa Ibom State to ensure Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, succeeds in the task of consolidating on the achievements of the immediate past Senator Godswill Akpabio.
