According to hm, the twelve years of the People Democratic Party’s (PDP) administration in Kogi had set the state backward, saying all the infrastructures provided during his six years rule of the state in the past have been allowed to decay.

“The power is in your hands, you the electorate, effect the change mantra of APC in Kogi state and see instant development and advancement of the state for the future of your children and those yet unborn.

“ I have done it before and I can also do it better if you give me the mandate. If I can established Kogi State University, Confluence beach hotel, built a befitting government house, provide electricity and water in rural areas among others when the federal allocation to the state was below N400 million per month, I will do better now that the allocation is several billions of naira per month” he promised.

While condemning the twelve years rule of the PDP that could not translate into the well being of the people, Audu assured that within one year if giving the mandate, he would use his connection and exposure to give life to all the infrastructures that have been allowed to decay in the state.

He noted that “ posterity will judge all of us if we fold our arms seeing the only state we can boldly call ours being drag into the mud by highly inexperience leaders who does not have the interest of the state at heart. “

I have spoken with international communities in London, France and America, they are ready to come and remove the state from wood through massive investments that will lead to creation of jobs and improvement in the living standard of the people of the state”

He however promised to declare all parts of the state as disaster areas with a view to aggressively attend to their needs that are lacking in the last twelve years.

Also speaking at the occasion, a former governor of Kano State Senator Kabiru Gaya said Prince Audu is not a hidden talent in the business of transformation, saying his achievements when he held sway as governor of the state is enough testimony that if given another mandate he would take Kogi to the land of development. He called on the people of the state not to allow this opportunity slip off their hands, urging them to vote enmass for Audu to effect the desired transformation.

The Obaro of Kabba while responding to the political visit said that as a father in the state he will surely extend his royal blessing to all his children on the struggle irrespective of differences in political parties, tribe and religion.

According to His Royal Majesty “It is only God the Almigthy that can make the best choice for a leader that can be of worthy to a given society and God who knows our innermost mind will help us to bring a leader that can deliver the people to the promised land”

He appealed to all the candidates of all political parties to play the game by the rule and avoid crisis that can easily truncate the entire electoral process.

At the rally venue in Kabba, the APC Governorship candidate, Prince Abubakar Audu while addressing the crowd promised that he will surely actualised the Power Rotation Project which has been a long term agitation of the non-Igala speaking people of the state come the next political dispensation in 2019 if voted into power again. The APC governorship standard-bearer gave the assurance that he will carry every section of the state along in the distribution of the state resources as well as appointment of persons into various positions in the state.

Audu recalled that during his six years rule between 1992 to 2003 he was able to construct Kabba Township Roads and upgraded its General Hospital to a Specialist Status.

Audu who described Kogi state as the most backward sates in Nigeria since he left office in 2003 vowed to rescue the state from total collapse if given the opportunity to come on board again.

He also promised that he will give priority to payment of workers salaries and development of agriculture, health, education, housing, rural electrification and provision of potable water across the state.

“I am not coming as an avenger or pay back mission as be blackmailed by the opposition but returning to make more progress in the state than ever before so as to rescue the state from poverty and disease caused by the misrule of PDP government in the past 13years” Audu also assured.
