Kogi INEC Diverts N227million Allawance Of AD-HOC Staff

The Kogi State Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has been accused of diverting N227million meant for the payment of its Ad-Hoc Staff who participated in the conduct of the November 21st 2015 governorship election in the state.
In a protest letter to President Muhammadu Buhari by the 13 Ad-hoc staff across the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State which was made available to journalists in Lokoja, expressed their grievances over the non-payment of their entitlements of N17,500 each up till the moment.
The protest letter which was signed by Yusuf Bello and John Opanachi on behalf of the complainants also expressed their greatest surprised that after several appeals through communication, the management of INEC in Kogi has refused to settle them for the legitimate national assignment dully concluded.
They have therefore, called on president Buhari to use His Good Offices to save them from the mess to ameniorate their plight.
When contacted on the development, the Spokesman of the Kogi INEC, Comrade Adams told The Union that he is not aware of the situation.=END=
