All is set for the final burial of late Princess Chinyere Dorothy Duru (Nee Korieocha) who died after a brief illness on the 26th day of June 2015. The burial announcement was made by the royal family of Late Prince John Kadurumba Korieocha of Umumadukwe Umulowu Amuzi Ikenanizi in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo.
According to the family, the 63-year old mother will be buried on the 29th Saturday August 2015 while the wake-keeping comes up on Friday 28th August 2015 at Nze Abraham Panda Duru”s Compound, Ezi Amaulu Mbieri, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
Late Dorothy duru was born on the 28th day of July, 1952 in Shomolu, Lagos State to the famous Royal family of late Prince John Kadurumba Korieocha & Mrs Agatha Nwaugo Korieocha of Umumadukwe Umulowu Amuzi Ikenanzizi Obowo, Imo State.
The first child and first daughter of the family attended Lady Lark primary School, Bajuliye Shomolu, Lagos between 1959-1965 and passed out with standard six grade. Following the outbreak of civil war 1967 her secondary educational pursuit ended abruptly.
In her quest to gain secondary education, after the civil war she gained admission to Opara High Secondary school yaba Lagos State between 1971- 1976 and passed with WASC.
Late Princess was a Successful Businesswoman which earned her as a major distributor with Coke –Cola Nigeria Plc Benin Edo State 1980. She is survived by husband- Mr Obinna Duru; son, Dr Emeka Olusesi; daughter, Mrs Glory Nwanjoku; son, Mr Kingsely Duru; daughter, Miss Gift Duru Daughter; son, Mr Kenneth Duru Son and son-in-law, Mr Kelechi Nwanjoku.
