Vale College Ibadan Calls for Greater Focus on Education by All Stakeholders

-Reaffirms 22 year Commitment to Providing Superior Educational Services

The Vale College Ibadan, Nigeria’s foremost coeducational institution has called for greater focus on building and sustaining educational best practices while reaffirming its commitment to offering excellent learning curricula to its teeming students.

The college, a unique co-educational day and boarding school was established on Monday November 7, 1994 by Solemilia Educational Trust and is situated on a secure and serene area at AdetokunboAdemolaRoad Iyanganku, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The Vale College’s student population is garnered from all over Nigeria with a maximum class strength of 25 students. In order to ensure that students receive the very best in learning curricula, well trained teachers provide core subjects  in the  Physical Sciences, Social Sciences and the Arts as well as exciting specialized classes on  Elocution/Public Speaking, ICT, Photography, Animal Husbandry and more, all aimed at the wholesome development of the students.

Director of The Vale College Ibadan and renowned educationist and lawyer, Mrs FunsoAdegbola says “It’s imperative that parents and guardians ensure that they place priority on the education and intellectual well-being of their children and wards. We cannot under estimate the necessity and influence of good education and the transformational impact it has on the holistic growth of children as they develop to become worthy ambassadors well after school -in whatever environment they find themselves.”

Students are warmly encouraged to take part in co-curricular groups and activities which are focussed on building and developing their emotional, intellectual and physical skills. Students have the choice of partaking in activities such as Literary and Debating society, Press Club, Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientist Club, French Club, Cultural society, Young Democrats club, Reading club, Zee club and BRECAN (Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria) club and partake in regular excursions abroad to exciting  places of interest.

In order to ensure that students are properly equipped to successfully qualify for their exams, the school also has a specialist sixth form arm called The Vale Tutorial College.  This specializes in the Cambridge A-level curriculum that qualifies students for admission into U.K. universities and also offers direct entry to 200 Level in Nigerian Universities. Entry requirement is at least a credit in 5 subjects including Mathematics, English Language and three other relevant subjects. Options include Physical Sciences, Social Sciences and the Arts. The school is a registered centre for all Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and also offers International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). SAT, TOEFL and IELTS exams.

The college also offers brilliant students and indigent pupils who display academic excellence the opportunity to enjoy the educational offerings of the institution with a number of scholarships such as:
