Ex-governor of old Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa has asked the Federal Government to reverse the N145 new petrol pump price, saying the increase is not in the interest of ordinary Nigerians.
The former governor, in an interview with journalists, Thursday said that the government’s action would inflict more pains on Nigerians.
Musa who is the National Chairman of People’s Redemption Party (PRP ) said , “We are in trouble; the already bad situation will get worse and it will worsen the poverty level of Nigerians”.
He also said he would support the Nigeria Labour Congress planned mass protest to compel the Federal Government to reverse the decision.
While alleging that the proceeds from the new price of the product may only benefit some persons and caucuses within government, he urged Civil Society Organisations and well-meaning Nigerians to join in appealing to the government to reverse the decision “for the sake of the masses”.
