Policemen Beg IGP For Salary, Allowances

After the recent Nigerian Air Force aerial bombardment of Arepo and Ibafo NNPC oil pipeline creeks in Ogun State, the Police Special Anti-Pipeline Vandalism Squad deployed to the areas to protect the facilities have appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Idris Ibrahim, to compel their Commandant to pay their salaries and allowances.

When our Correspondent visited Arepo and Ibafo areas yesterday, the Special Police Taskforce deployed to the areas complained that their salaries and allowances have not been paid by their boss in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital.

The Special Taskforce Operatives complained that they are living in penury since they were drafted to Arepo and Ibafo for security surveillance, as they can no longer cater for their families.

The Security Operatives passionately appealed to the IGP to intervene so that their salaries and allowances can be paid as at when due.

Meanwhile, after last month aerial bombardment by the Nigerian Air Force planes at Arepo and Ibafo Creeks in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, the hideout of N.N.P.C. Oil Pipeline vandals, normalcy has return to the two communities as residents who fled the areas were seen returning to their homes.
