PDP Post- Election Committee Gets 1,000 Petitions

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Post- Election Review Committee, Ike Ekweremadu has said that the committee has already received 1,000 memorandum of understanding to the committee which it will study to proffer reliable direction for the party. Ekweremadu said the committee has reached a critical point of the assignment which is to reach out to the various zones for further understanding of the assignment.

According to him, the committee has set three sub-committee of three membership to tour the six geopolitical zones of the country. His words: “The review committee was set up after the general elections to amongst other things draw up a road map for the party’s reconciliation. “This Committee has been working.

You will recall that we emphathised seeking for inputs in the form of memoranda from our stakeholders and party faithfuls and we gave deadline. That deadline has since passed. “We have now come to another critical point, we now want to take our work to the ordinary people of PDP in respective zones and states. “So, on account of this, we have decided to draw up a timetable for zonal consultations.

That’s why we had this meeting with our zonal Vice Chairmen and our party chairmen at various states. At the end of the meeting, we came to the conclusion that there is need to meet with our party men and women in our respective zones. “In furtherance to this, we are going to send three teams to go round the country to find out from our party faithfuls what went wrong and the way forward. “Each team consists of three members will be with two geopolitical zones. Senator Ahmed Makarfi – South South and South East.. At Port Harcourt; Alhaji Shuaibu Oyedokun – North East and North West And Emeka Ihedioha – North Central and South West.
