Osun state police command has arrested three persons who allegedly killed a toddler, Teslim Bakare in Iragbiji, Boripe local government area of Osun state.
It was gathered that the deceased, a two year old boy was killed by these suspects at Agbelekale Compound of Iragbiji.
According to sources, the suspects led by one Moshood Aremu had been operating a mosque around Oke Mori Area of Iragbiji but resided in another part of the town.
The two other suspects are: Tajudeen Ganiyu of Aropoko compound, and one Wasiu Danku.
It was further learnt the suspects led by Aremu had reportedly abducted the victim, sliced his throat, removed his head and collected his blood into a bucket.
Luck however ran out of them as somebody successfully recorded the scenes of their deadly act with mobile phone and handed the recordings to some people in the area.
Speaking to newsmen on phone, a residents of Otapete Area of the town, where the leader of the gang lives, who preferred to be anonymous said “no one knew who recorded them but people have been suspecting them around here.
“Not long ago, Moshood Aremu, their leader was expelled by the tabliq (a Muslim Sect) and subsequently established his own sect and has been leading them since then.”
A reliable security source who confirmed the incident said the suspects has confessed to the crime at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
