Youths in Osun under the aegis of Nigerian Youths Parliament and Pro-Democracy Youths yesterday called on President Mohammadu Buhari to resolve challenges confronting the Nigerian youths.
Besides, they tasked the federal government to do all within its reach to bring back Chibok Girls alive and kick out insurgency from the country.
Addressing journalists in Osogbo on the celebration of “The International Youth Day 2015”, the minority leader of Nigerian Youth Parliament, Hon. Semih Adabanija stated that Nigerian youths are faced with moribund education, unemployment, security of lives and property.
Adabanija also charged the state government to intensify effort towards more creative and innovative Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) rather than depending solely on federal government allocation.
His words:” The government should look at avenues of creating wealth each local government area by way of comparative advantage one product per local government, this will also create jobs.
“The government should also support creative ideas and enterprise of young people in the state through empowerment and patronage. “Youths are looking forward to more productive engagements with government and inputs in the planning and execution of its various developmental policies and projects.”
