Osun: Go Back To Work, Ex-commissioner Charges Worker

A former commissioner in Osun State, Mr. Basiru Ajibola has appealed to the state workers to suspend their strike and go back to work in the interest of the state. Ajibola made the appeal in Osogbo at a prayer session organised for President Mohammadu Buhari’s inauguration, Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s 58th birthday and the state lawmakers’ inauguration.

He assured the workers that the delay in the payment of their salaries would soon be resolved with the change personified President Buhari at the helm of affair. The ex-commissioner observed that both President Buhari and his vice, Prof. Yemi Osibajo, would achieve the desired and expected change Nigerians are yearning for. Ajibola who congratulated Aregbesola on the occasion of his birthday described him as a role model worthy of emulation, an epitome of transparency, integrity; discipline, honest, hard work and humility.

While applauding him for touching many lives he noted that the federal change witnessing in the state started from Aregbesola whom he said placed the welfare of humanity first. He then charged all the lawmakers in the state to emulate the good work of Aregbesola and be a good and positive ambassador of their respective local government and the state.

He also pleaded to them not to let down the people of the state who elected them for positive change. Clergyman at the occasion later prayed to God to grant Buhari led federal government and Aregbesola led government the good health, grace, wisdom to direct the affairs of the country and state.
