The newly sworn-in House of Representative member representing Ojo Federal Constituency, Hon Tajudeen Obasa, has assured its constituents of his pledge to fulfil his campaign promises. Speaking in an interview after its swearing in, he assured them of quality representation in the day-to-day running of affairs in the lower chamber, promised to attract Federal presence in Ojo Local Government and ensure unemployment is reduced to the least minimum through skills acquisition programme.
“Now it is time to get to work, and I pledge to my constituents that their voices will be heard in the House of Representatives in the weeks and months to come, I will make every effort to find out what concerns the people who live and work in my constituency,” he continued. “I would advise my constituents to get ready for town hall meetings and community chats at area restaurants and shops.
You probably shouldn’t even be surprised to find me knocking on your door some evening, just to talk for a while “ This is an administration for all, irrespective of cradle, creed or calling without any form of pre-conceived interest. It is all about feedback mechanism, I’m the messenger, they are the boss,” he said Meanwhile, the General Overseer of Holy Micheal Church of God, Pastor Ezekiel Ajayi has hailed Hon Obasa and attributed his victory to the will of God and urged him not relent in his positive ways of tolerating Christians.
In the same vein, the Chief Imam of Olorunsogo Central Mosque, Alhaji Jinadu Jibril Okin advised him to remain focused, and to see his emergence as an act of God and prayed for God’s guidance in his life.
Obasa thanked all the people of Ojo for restoring the confidence in him even as he also sent his warm wishes to the newly swornin members in the National Assembly, the newly elected Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and the newly elected speaker, Mr. Yakubu Dogara.
