Nigeria Police Pull Out 3 DIGs, 1AIG

… As IGP Assures them a happy retirement

The Nigeria Police Force has pulled out three Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) of Police and one Assistant Inspector General Of Police (AIG) from the Force after serving meritoriously for 35 years. The three DIGs include DIG David Omojola, DIG Hilary Opara DIG Adeola Adeleke Adeniji, and AIG Felix Uyana.

The colourful pulling out ceremony was highly attended by retired and serving police chiefs and well wishers. In his remarks, Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, commended the retiring DIGs for being part of the management team, their immense contributions to the attainment of the transformation agenda of the Force, adding that the officers served their fatherland meritoriously enough to deserve the honour they are being bestowed on by the police.

“For me as an individual, I can proudly say that I enjoyed my association with you all and will keep remembering you for all your robust contribution during strategic management meetings” “There is an element of professional pride in the exit of these fine officers from the police organisation they dedicated the most valuable part of their lives to serving.”

“I have no doubt that the gentlemen officers exiting the force today will be retiring to a world of happiness and fulfilment beyond their imagination. For they have sown in service and can only reap bountiful in retirement”

“Retirement is a time to rest, and commit your lives to God almighty fro protecting you and sparing your lives in the long stretch of your service in a policing calling that is laced with apparent risks and in which some of our closest colleagues paid the supreme sacrifice.”

“Dear retiring colleague, rather being apprehensive, march out of the force with confidence that you are marching faster into a greener lawn, a wide field of opportunities that will bring you happiness beyond your imagination,”

He reminded them to always remember that their colleagues whom they are leaving behind hold them dear and will yawn to continually tap into their invaluable wealth of professional experience.

Earlier, the Chairmen Police service commission, Mike Okiro, wished them a worthy retirement” I welcome you into my world of happy retirement” Also speaking on behalf of the retiring DIGs, DIG, David Omojola, thanked the IGP and members of the police staff for honouring them.
