The National President of National Union of RoadsTransport Workers (NURTW), Comrade NajeemUsmanYasinhas warned members to be law abiding citizens while performing their duties across the nation in order for the union to reach greater heights.
Comurade Yasin who was represented by Former chairman of the NURTW in Benue state, Comrade IjiigTarzahovat the ceremony in Lafia, yesterday, charged the Nasarawa state council members elected to carried all those elected for transparency and accountability purposes.
Comrade Yasin said the only way to move the union forward was to stop all ad practices that includes, illegal loading of passengers for the vehicles of the officials only.
He observed that members should always practice the system of first come first served, which according to him will be well to all members of the NURTW.
He further stressed that whoever is found wanting will be seriously sanction by the nation body in Abuja.
The president also commended the efforts of Governor UmaruTanko Al-makura for making peace to rain supreme in the state and called on all members to contributes to the development of the state.
Earlier, the Grand Patron of NURTW, AlhajiAhmadu Al-makura,SangarinKwandere,said the state Government meant well for the member as they are relocated to BukinSidi at former Mechanics Village.
The Royal Father said the new station for drivers in the state is another development and appealed to all people to embraced development and renovations.
He promised to support the NURTW to a greater height and called on people to support the administration of Governor Al-makura.
On his part, the state chairman of NURTW, Alh. Dahiru Bala Gwaska commended to giant contributions of Governor Al-makura and appealed to people to support the amiable governor.
