LCCI Inducts New Members

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), one of the leading voices in the organised private sector (OPS) in the country is set to induct new compa­nies into its membership on Wednesday 21st October, 2015.

Director General of the chamber, Mr. Muda Yusuf who stated this a press state­ment said: “the induction of new organisations on our platform is usually organised to formally accept and wel­come organisations that oper­ate within the Lagos business community and other parts of Nigeria.

“The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, since its establishment in 1888 has committed itself to the promo­tion of a conducive business environment for the organised private sector by supporting or opposing legislative or other measures affecting trade, in­dustry, commerce and agricul­ture,” he added.

This according to him, had made membership of the LCCI very attractive to many private sector operators in Nigeria.

This year’s event is sched­uled to hold at the LCCI Con­ference and Exhibition centre, Plot 10, Nurudeen Olowo- popo Way, Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja, around MKO Abiola Gardens at 11am prompt.

According to the Member­ship and Welfare Committee of the LCCI, “ 160 new members are expected to join the Cham­ber during the event, while many more who have shown interest, but have not complet­ed their registration will join later on.”

The induction would bring notable businessmen and women from various sectors of the economy together with the sole aim of positively impact­ing the economy.

The President of the Cham­ber, Alhaji Remi Bello, is expected to preside over the induction ceremony and offi­cially welcome the new mem­bers to the Premier Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Nigeria.
