National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) has prevailed on Governor Idris Wada of Kogi to run for second term in office in the governorship election expected to hold by October this year. The student union who paid a solidarity visit to the governor yesterday in Lokoja said the quest for his continuity is to ensure the completion of various educational projects embarked upon by his administration.
The President of the association, Comrade Ibrahim Amodu in his address said the governor has done well in the area of educational infrastructural development across the state owned high institutions in the state.
The NAKOSS President berated Mr. Ezekiel Nwankwo who claimed to be the Public Relations Officer of National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS acting as a hired person by some faceless politicians to tarnish the image of the governor alleging that the state has been under the misrule of Wada’s administration.
NAKOSS re- called that despite the lean resources accruing to the state, the governor was able to spend as much as 3.7 billion naira to improve infrastructure at medical school of Kogi state University Ayingba while 500 beds spaces hostels were constructed for male and female students of the same institution to ease the perennial accommodation situation on campus.
