Routs and Roads Transport Company (RRTC), has completed all arrangement to organize first ever Automobile Fair and Exhibition in Kaduna in October this year.
Briefing newsmen and unveiling the fair logo in Kaduna weekend, Chief Executive Officer RRTC, Geoffrey Faasema, said the major aim of organizing the fair and exhibition is to create wealth, increased employment opportunities and initiate consumer-financier reforms in the automobile industry in Nigeria in order to open more opportunities for Nigeria automobile consumer.
Other things to be achieved from the fair include exploring opportunities in Nigeria’s automobile industry, create platforms for operators in the sector to interact with public where varieties of auto industry products and allied services like trackers, others would be showcase.
With a theme: Exploring Entrepreneur Opportunities in Nigeria Automobile Indie”, organizers said auto-industry is a major industrial and economic force to reckon with worldwide with recent statistics showing that the sector contributed 60million cars and trucks each year
They noted that the industry is responsible for almost half of the world’s consumption of oil and gas, employs 4 million people directly and indirectly worldwide, making it second largest human endeavour yet on earth.
It noted that the significant surge experienced in automobile sales companies like Leventis Motors, RT Brisco Tec. in 60s evolved into partnership between the Nigerian government and several foreign auto films lead to establishment of factories like PAN in Nigeria.
“The direct product of this partnership was the birth of Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (PAN), in Kaduna, National Trucks Manufacturing Ltd in Kano and Lagos respectively”, Faasema said.
Over 60 local and international companies are expected to participate at the exhibition holding at Murtala Square Kaduna.
