Jang Commissions New Govt House

Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State yesterday brought his administration to an end with the commissioning of N7.9 billion new Government House at Little Rayfield and renaming of Lamigo Road after President Obasanjo .

Jang stated at the commissioning ceremony of the multi-billion edifice which equips to international standard that state would never remain the same in spite of the outside conspiracy against the people of the state.

“We have to move forward nobody can change the history of Plateau state expect God,” he said. The outgoing governor explained that the project lasted three years and that after acquiring the land, God directed him to pray for the development of people of the state.

He said ,”I dedicated this road in remembrance of our past President Obasanjo who awarded the road construction in 1976 but was abandoned by past governments; so when he came in as the civilian president :Obasanjo pleaded with me to complete it.

Gov. Jang said ,he has worked very hard to transform Plateau State to made Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) government achieve three pillar policy of building Plateau to an enviable height .

He added that the road construction cost the total of N3.7 billion linking Yakubu Gowon Five Star Hotel which is still abandoned since 1976.
