IMO Govt Signs MOU With Fertilizer Producing Coy


In line with its industrializa­tion programme, the Imo State Government has signed a Memorandum of Under­standing (MoU) with a for­eign company, CCV Hi-Tech Company Ltd for the produc­tion of fertilizer.

A release from Ikenna Onuoha, Special assistant Media and Publicity to the Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI), Sir Jude Ejiogu stated that the SGI who rep­resented the state government during the signing of the MoU in his Cabinet Office, along Sam Mbakwe Road, Owerri on Tuesday, October 20th, 2015, advised the company not to disappoint in their bid to remain good business partners with government.

Ejiogu, while expressing optimism that when the fac­tory commences operation, it would alleviate the sufferings of Imo farmers by providing fertilizer for them in a reduced cost and as well, create em­ployment opportunity for the teeming youths in the state.

He maintained that the fac­tory will be sited at the Imo Industrial Park, Ohaji Egbema local government area of the state, is expected to produce five hundred metric tons of fertilizer every year, and ap­pealed to the host community to support the idea.

Speaking on behalf of the company, Mr. Nguyem Kim Toaoa expressed happiness for the understanding with government, and assured that operation would commence within six months.

He commended Govern­ment efforts to industrialize the state, saying that his com­pany would do everything possible to uphold their busi­ness image, and called on the people to give them every needed support to perform ef­fectively.
