The Imo State Government has urged the local government party chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to woo members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) states in Nigeria’s South-east region. Secretary to the Imo State Government, Sir Jude Ejiogu, gave the advice at the Government House in Owerri , the state capital ,over the weekend while receiving the 27 chairmen of local governments in the state, who were on a courtesy visit.
As the only APC state in the Southeast, Mr Ejiogu urged the Chairmen and supporters in Imo State to spread their tentacles to other South-east States in order to take over the region come 2019. He enjoined them to build on the successes recorded in the state, maintaining that the APC has all it takes to change Nigeria for the better.
In another development, Mr Ejiogu stressed that despite the numerous challenges facing the APC at the moment, he is confident and optimistic that the party would come out stronger and better
