Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has appealed to the state chapter of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria,(JUSON) to resume work in the interest of the state and the court litigants. Governor Ikpeazu who made the appeal when he received a delegation of the state Chief Judge, Justice Theresa Uzokwe and Judges of the state judiciary at Government House Umuahia, pointed out that the industrial action has crippled activities in the judiciary system.
While noting that no arm of government can function effectively without the other,Dr Ikpeazu said his government will ensure a cordial relationship between the three arms of government as well as address the challenges facing the state judiciary. According to the Governor, his administration will ensure effective delivery of democracy dividends to the people of the state despite challenges faced, adding that he will apply resources available to serve the people.
