Ikpeazu Inspects Arochukwu Road Project

Following his resolve to reconstruct major roads in several parts of the state as the rainy season commences, Abia State governor , Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has inspected the 34km Ndi Oji-Ndi Okereke- Arochukwu Road. The Abia Chief executive who started his first day in office with the construction of seven major roads in Aba stated that the Arochukwu road would be motoroable by December.

According to Ikpeazu who gave the assurance yesterday while inspecting the progress of work on the road, pointed out that activities on the road which has been stalled for sometime will recommence in the next few weeks, adding that he is passionate about the plight of Arochukwu people over bad road.

He said he was happy that 7km of the road has been asphalted with an additional 7km stone based and commended the contractor handling the project, Master Services, for the quality job done on the road. “Government aims at ensuring that people can pass through the road in the nearest future. Conducting the Governor round, the contractor handling the project, Master Services said the road would be realized by December this year if the bridge is done simultaneously with the road,” he said.
