Omos oyinbode, Asaba

A group under the aegis of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ) has called on Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, to break new grounds in the state and fulfill all campaign promises to the people of Delta State. In a statement signed by the Coordinator, Comrade Sheriff Mulade and made available to journalist in Warri, the group congratulated the new Governor and his Deputy, Barrister Kingsley Ortuaro on their assumption of administration of Delta State.

Comrade Mulade said his group was fully convinced of the ability of Okowa and Otuaro to deliver and take Delta beyond where it is now, saying Okowa’s administration would consolidate on the gains and achievements of the former Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.

The group urged Governor Okowa to look at other possibilities and fulfill his campaign slogan which he codenamed as “Prosperity for All Deltans”. According to the group, “we implore you to run a broad and transparent administration, pay attention to security matters as no meaningful development can take place in a rancorous environment and also key into the Delta Beyond Oil policy introduced by the former administration of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan by investing massively in agriculture”.
