A group Entrepreneurs for Change has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the choice of James Ocholi (SAN) as minister nominee from Kogi state, assuring that the legal luminary would never disappoint the state and the country at large.
In a press statement signed by the President General of the group Abdulkareem Omolori Okene which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja yesterday, Okene said President Buhari delay in releasing the ministerial lists was a clear indication that he took his time to select credible people across the country who will assist him in actualizing his quest of transforming the country.
While appealing to President Buhari not to forget Ebira people from Kogi central , he reminded the President not to renege in his campaign promises of revitalizing Ajaokuta steel complex, Itakpe iron ore, ,water Dams, road, mining and agriculture among others , saying fulfilling such promises will bring about change in the economic and political well being of the state.
According to him ” We believed that what the Ebira people needs now is something better than just a political positions , such things that will bring about change in the economic and political well being of the district .
“Kogi central being the centre point to all the geopolitical areas in the country , there are some pertinent issues our President has promised Ebira people, issues such as Ajaokuta , Itakpe iron ore ,water Dams, road, mining, Agriculture among others.
As an entrepreneur this request are more valuable and germane than any political position . It will create jobs , improve the economy of the people as well as eradicating youth restiveness in the state” .
He pointed out that Ebira people have occupied the positions of Minister, Group Managing Director of NNPC and several other prominent positions in recent time , lamenting that the opportunities could not translate into benefit to the people of the district.
While expressing confidence that the change mantra of President Buhari would see the light of the day, Okene urged the people of Kogi central to support him in achieving his plan of changing the country for better.
He equally appealed to President Buhari to create more opportunity for private sector and entrepreneurs to drive the economy for the country to achieve the nation dream of becoming the most virile and strong economy in Africa.
