Enugu Assembly Approves 12 Special Advisers For Ugwuanyi

The Enugu State House of Assembly has approved the list of Special Advisers submitted to it by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Leader of the house, Hon. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu who presented the governor’s request said that it was important that the list be approved to enable the new administration take off immediately. Ezeugwu pointed out that the advisers would help the governor deliver democracy dividend to the people.

However, names of the twelve nominees were not made public at the session. Governor Ugwuanyi was also expected to forward names of his Commissioners to the House for screening and possible approval. An inside source told The UNION that the list was almost ready for presentation by Tuesday evening.

It could be recalled that the governor recently appointed the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Chief Press Secretary, Senior Special Adviser, SSA on Media and the Chairman of Due Process Committee among others. In another development, the House has constituted a selection committee that would enable it from its Standing Committee.
