Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Musa Daura has sent former spokesperson of the organisation whom he had earlier demoted, Marilyn Ogar, and 14 other senior officers on compulsory leave. Two directors of the department are also affected by the order.
Ogar was demoted by a rank, alongside 44 others, less than two months ago, after they were promoted by the past administration for ‘hard work and public enlightenment campaigns on anti-terrorism in service delivery’.
A signal from leadership of the service issued on Wednesday night, announced the development. Ogar was removed from her post two months ago. Ogar’s demotion and removal from post were the first decisions taken by the Director- General, Lawal Daura.
