A commendable feat has been achieved by the Management of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on Tuesday. The organization’s management informs that the nation has accomplished a new electricity transmission peak of 4545MW via its nationwide network.
TCN’s General Manager, Public Affairs, Seun Olagunju, in a statement disclosed that the peak was achieved at 21.45hrs on Monday. Prior to the new transmission peak, 4517MW was the former status at 23rd December, 2012.
Nonetheless, the TCN Management had enlightened the public that over 4000MW electricity wheeling to the Distribution companies has increased as a result of the enhancement of fuel supply to energize power generation plants maximal performance.
According to the statement, “Expanding this support both bilaterally with the individual countries and to the Multinational Joint Task Force which the Lake Chad Basin countries and Benin are in the process of standing up to coordinate their counter Boko Haram campaign.”
In this regards, TCN has vowed to improve its working capacity further, in order to raise higher the network’s capacity of power wheeling to increase more electricity from the Generation plants to the entire Distribution companies in the country.
