Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Leo Ogor over weekend said that the ongoing $2.1 billion arms probe by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC is shrouded in secrecy.
Speaking with journalists in Abuja, he said that the investigation should be thrown open and the details revealed on how the money was spent.
“When you look at the investigation going on, the level of secrecy behind the investigation is even very worrisome to me.
“I think if anybody wants to be transparent, make this investigation open, publish the accounts, open these accounts for us, let’s look at this 2.1 billion dollars, how it was spent, who did the conversion, how much was in the account, and what was in the account”.
When asked on the current crisis rocking his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the law maker said,”It has even made us to be very resolute. It has showed very clearly that there are some people who want to take over our party at all cost.
“We have some people who seek our destruction and they have pushed us almost to the wall and, it is now left for us to stand knowing full well that we have all been in the major newspaper.
“But we have to correct these mistakes by making sure we stick to the Nigerian people,”he added.
