Head of Service of the Anambra State Civil Service Mr.Chidi Ezeoke ( MNI ) has stressed the dire need for the government of the federation to promulgate a national policy on cattle grazing to forestall invasion of farmlands and other public places by Hausa / Fulani herdsmen and their cattle .
This is as a result of the fact that there has been incessant insurgence of cattle rearers and their animals on the Jerome Udoji State Secretariat Complex Awka causing workers to scamper for safety to avoid being brutalised by the animals .
The public nuisance caused by the cattle cannot be over-stressed as most workers maintained that most traumatising is the indiscriminate defecating of the animals around the secretariat complex leaving the entire premises with horrible stench .
To remedy the situation therefore the State Head of Service Mr.Chidi Ezeoke while speaking with The UNION in Awka suggested that the aforementioned policy on grazing lands for cattle if considered by the federal government would drastically address issues of incessant encroachment on public places and farmlands by Hausa / Fulani herdsmen .
He also disclosed that the government of Governor Willie Obiano has maintained industrial harmony in Anambra State. Mr.Ezeoke stated that in January this year the State Governor adjusted the salaries of Anambra
